By George, I think we've got it!!

Day 6. I do believe we are finally getting in the swing of things!! Today is the first day we've actually stayed "somewhat" on schedule!!

Joy is doing just AWESOME now that she's got the idea in her head that school is something we do. Now if we could go 5 minutes without the chorus of "I'm hungry" we'll be set. :D  Today we learned subtraction with the help of high quality learning aids, i.e: Fruit Loops. It was great.

And take a gander at those nice and neat numbers all lined up.

Isaiah seems to think that he has learned all that he needs to and can now assist me in teaching Joy. You can imagine how well that goes over. :}
So sorry Little Man, you still have lots of school years ahead of you. Must do your own work.

Lunch! Isn't this fun!? I had this idea in my head to pack for our co-op lunches. But alas, no peanuts due to allergies at the school. So I made it for our lunch today. Peanut butter/apple sandwiches with blueberry infused crasins. I cut the core center out of the apple with a small flower shaped cutter. Add in half a banana and some snack mix (Cinnamon Toast Crunch w/ blueberry crasins) and presto: a healthy lunch with just a touch of sweetness. :D

Back To School!

Welcome!! I actually started this blog when I first began my journey into homeschooling years ago and just never posted! :}

But now, I have a 3rd grader AND a 1st grader and I decided I should do something with the blog now. I'm hoping that it will keep me more organized with what we accomplish from day to day, and keep some sort of record of how my darling kiddos progress during the school year.

Feel free to follow along with us! I'll "attempt" to share DIY craft projects from time to time.

Also, as we will be attending a co-op every Friday, this is the first time ever I've had to pack lunches! For those that know me, I have a hard time doing things half-way. So I figure, if I have to pack lunches, they will be cute!! I'll share those as well here if any others want some fun, creative ideas to make your kids' packed school lunches stand out. :D
